Create An Immersive Learning Environment

An immersive classroom experience can involve coordinating your lessons to accommodate those who are learning remotely and providing your physical students with some unique ways to explore the world they live in. Consider teacher-student placement and the type of audio visual equipment that you will need for each upgraded teaching approach that you will be using.

A Video Wall

Interactive software and audio visual components can be used to set up a video wall that you can view your remote students on. If you will be teaching in a classroom that some students will be physically seated in, having a video wall installed behind these students will allow you to engage with the entire group during each classroom session.

The interactive software that you use should feature a way for your students to provide feedback on demand. For instance, a software program that utilizes a whiteboard may allow you to present material and may also allow your students to provide written examples or explanations that coincide with what you have written down.

You will need an external microphone and quality camera equipment that will allow your students to interact with you during each class. An audio visual representative that provides commercial services will help you pinpoint which type of audio visual equipment you will need and where wires and other components will need to be installed. Some companies rent audio visual equipment and will provide equipment delivery and setup services.

A Mobile Unit and 360-Degree Videos

A mobile unit that contains a cart and an LED screen can be used to air 360-degree videos. These types of videos have used a panoramic lens to capture footage. A mobile unit can be pushed to the head of your classroom and used to teach a group of students. It can also be used for solo or small group learning sessions.

If you are going to play video commentary aloud, you will need an adequate speaker system that will be loud enough for your students to hear. If headphones will be offered to your students during each classroom setting, the built-in audio that the headphones provide may be sufficient for this purpose.

Acquiring audio visual services that involve setting up a mobile unit and installing all of the wiring necessary to operate the equipment will be helpful. Consider the noise level within your classroom at any given time and choose audio visual components that will engage your students, but not be disruptive to anyone who spends time in or near your classroom.
